Thanks. I like this one too. Some topic enrapture me more than others, and cosmicist pantheism is at the top of the list. There's more on the way in this vein.

As for the role of intelligence in an indifferent cosmos, of course we'd just be guessing. But I address this in my articles on transhumanism, such as in the ones linked below.

I don't know if the question is about our "relevance." Maybe the question is whether our species has an honourable destiny. Will we end with a bang or a whimper? How is anyone supposed to know? Secular humanism may have its esoteric side, though, as in the faith of transhumanism (our techno deification).
