Thanks. I have a twitch in my eye too, but it’s more from all the other philosophical problems I ponder, besides politics. If I lived in the US, that would be a different story, although I have a brother who lives there.

But yeah, the only things as scary as Trump are his base of millions of resentful but misled supporters, the Republican Party that prepared the way for Trump over a period of several decades, and the Democrats that have likewise over many years cooperated with the Republicans in turning the US into a plutocracy.

We just shouldn’t confuse the political theater for the more profound, systemic wrongs being done.
