I agree that accidents are involved in practically all complex outcomes. Luck is a factor no matter what happens. Oligarchy or rule by the few has been the norm in the history of big societies, though. That norm has multiple causes, and theistic priming may not be an original cause as much as a rationalization or enabler that perpetuates this norm.
