My point about Christian ambiguity was just that there are two Jesus's, the physical one that died on the cross, and the spiritual one, the spiritual body his corpse supposedly turned into in the tomb. So Jesus is both dead and alive, depending on how we define "death" and "life."
I'd say not that truth is a horror but that truth or the rule-bound, partly stipulative correctness of some uses of symbols is a game to distract us from the horror of reality that transcends all our mundane symbols and social games.
