Sure, foundational concepts wouldn't be scientific if they were sheer fantasies. I'm assuming they have some empirical grounding, so that the concepts' relevance would be objectively established.

Are you saying, then, that economists agree on their fundamental concepts, but they're not sure whether those concepts are relevant to anything because the concepts haven't been integrated in a well-tested theory that blows past all political and tribal allegiances?
