Some of that was covered in the pro-Rand documentary I watched too. So indeed, the marriage had its turbulence, but they still stuck together for over 50 years, and they were close even after the affair. Also, I believe Rand told her husband about it. I don't know if any marriage has ever been flawless, but one that lasts a lifetime is certainly happier than the majority which end in divorce.
