So you think the content of the Bible is miraculous in being free from error. Would you say the same about the Quran or the Bhagavad Gita?
What good is supplying a fallen species with a perfect text when that species is bound to misinterpret it? What kind of cockamamie scheme is that? Why wouldn't God do better?
Of course, the Bible is full of errors, contradictions, absurdities, and outrages because the creator of the universe had nothing to do with it. Indeed, the universe is likewise full of outrages, so if there were a living creator of the universe and that creator had inspired the writing of the Bible, God might have meant for us to be shocked by those outrages. God himself would be an outrage for having created the absurd universe we find ourselves in.
