Right, we may or may not successfully transition to a sustainable energy source, and if we did it would likely transform society. I think capitalism imposes the social inequalities which would be replicated, regardless of the techniques of energy use. So the economic system would have to change to address the problems with bullshit jobs, the obsolescence of human workers, and so on.
