Right, this article is about the meta, moral question of the status of laws of war. I'm not really talking about specific wars here. And no, I'm not MAGA. I've written around 30 articles condemning Trumpism. (I made a whole list of them, linked below.)

Some wars are worse than others. Obviously, aggression is worse than self-defense. But I'm trying to get at certain absurdities of legalism. For instance, as I'll explore in a related article, there's the law against the assassination of political leaders, leaving the uniformed soldiers as the fall guys. It's pretty suspicious.
