Right, but atheism shouldn't be a core part of anyone's personal or cultural identity. It's just a negation of theism. Secularists still need a positive ideology to give direction to their life. Buddhism, Daoism, and Confucianism do so, as does consumerism. But those are secular, naturalistic ideologies and practices. True, some of them have have mystical trappings, especially if we're talking about the lesser educated practitioners. But Eastern religions generally aren't theistic in the Western sense. The Eastern "religions" are more like philosophical therapies.
