Really, nothing to rejoice about liberalism or secular humanism? Yet you live in the US, the leader of the free world. Would you rather live in an autocratic country like Iran, North Korea, or Venezuela?

Certainly, humanism can be critiqued since perhaps civilized progress is unsustainable and based on hypocrisy. I've also criticized humanism in many articles. But that's irrelevant here unless you want to halt progress for conservative rather than postmodern reasons. So which technology would you give up to avoid benefitting from past atrocities? Medical technologies? How about cars or computers?

Arguing that humanist societies are better than conservative ones doesn't entail that the former are flawless, so that's a strawman.
