"Random universe" would be oxymoronic since there would be no coherent things in it, and thus no persistent deviation from a norm. What's monstrous about a godless ordered universe (a natural cosmos) is that its self-creativity is comparable to a zombie's inexplicable shuffling. This is creativity with no inner life or direction, no personal guidance. Nature's creativity is impersonal and thus monstrous to us because its pointless sublimity mocks our form of counter-creativity.
