Ptolemaic cosmology was incredibly accurate too. That didn't make the model true or even scientific. The ad hoc epicycles betrayed dogmatism, which was at odds with the humanistic culture of socratic humility and critical thinking that's essential to science.

If the economist's obfuscatory representations of rational choice theory are unfalsifiable and pseudoscientific, then it's no surprise you can "derive" whatever you like from them. Didn't you know that Scientologists can explain away all contrary pieces of evidence? That's how cults work. It doesn't help your case.
