Professional or academic philosophy is a different topic, though, since the problems there might have more to do with academia and with professionalization than with philosophy itself.
The institutionalization of science might be problematic for science, too. Indeed, the capitalist capture of the soft sciences and the academic race to publish could be responsible for the replication crisis.
But I agree that analytic and continental philosophy departments seem to be academic in the pejorative sense.
