Pantheism is atheistic--towards the gods of theism. This is what's potentially misleading about the labels since "theism" is common to all three.
As I see it, pantheism is naturalistic. The only ways in which nature is deemed "God" or divine are the ones I posited (in dialogue with the book): nature's supreme creativity (of itself), and a profound emotional response (awe, reverence, horror, etc) from observers who recognize what's happening.
