Or as Bill Maher would say, the Democrats are too busy virtue signalling and being "woke" to deal with the fact that Republicans no longer believe in democracy. What I'm saying here is that conservatives have never believed in modernity itself, or in humanism or democracy. So this shouldn't be such a surprise. What's surprising is just that the conservative's mask is slipping.
