Not yet, but are you including the obligations in "bullshit jobs"? Not all obligations are important. Some may be trivial or illusory. So maybe you're asking whether there's a society yet in which people lack important, life-sustaining obligations. In other words, is there yet a fully-automated society? And I'd say no, although the First World includes large populations that aren't needed to keep the societies going. They're unemployed or they work in bullshit, virtually automated sectors.
