Nonsense. The first universities and hospitals were founded in ancient Greece. Plato's was the first academy. Christianity started public hospitals as we know them today, but not the practice of healing in an isolated location.
Scientific methods are antithetical to religious faith. Ordinary folks may only trust in the authority of scientific experts, but that's irrelevant to the scientific method itself. Actual scientists are doing the opposite of having religious faith: they're testing their hypotheses with experiments, not rationalizing or apologizing for dogmas.
