My view of nature combines Bataille with Lovecraft, among others. But the horror for natural waste is found also in Bataille's view of the sacred as a taboo power that threatens to undermine social norms.

This is consistent with Christianity's view of God's supernatural power, of course, but if anything, Jesus says we should withdraw from natural processes. Nature's power should derive from God, but currently it's supposed to be controlled by evil, satanic forces.
