Monotheists avoid pantheism by saying that God is immanent and transcendent. So he's not literally omnipresent, but he indirectly he is because he knows everything and could intervene anywhere at any time.

The more obnoxious monotheists also emphasize God's personhood, as I show in an upcoming article on classical theism vs theistic personalism.
