Let’s count the errors in your short comment, shall we?

First, you insinuate that I’m a “pseudo-intellectual.” I have a Ph.D. in philosophy, and I’ve been writing philosophical articles continuously since 2011. That doesn’t make me a genius, but it does mean my interest in ideas isn’t fake.

Second, you suggest I’m a leftist or that I’m scratching the back of the left. See the links below for my criticisms of liberalism, socialism, and centrism.

Third, you say I’ve oversimplified conservatism. See the links below for my lengthy criticisms of George Will’s and Julius Evola’s conservatism. I have an upcoming takedown of Edmund Burke’s moderate conservatism. I’m not a specialist in political philosophy, but I don’t shy away from tackling the big-name conservative “thinkers.”

Fourth, you strawman my article by saying it boils down to an appeal to Trump’s badness, so it’s a case of guilt by association. But as anyone can tell from reading the article, Trumpism shows up only in the last third to hammer home the overall argument and the underlying criticism, which is that conservatives don’t understand or care about liberty, because their values amount to social Darwinism. The section called “The Incoherence of Libertarianism” establishes that point without referring once to Trump. Trumpism only demonstrates the obviousness of conservative hypocrisy.

Fifth, if I understand you correctly, you declare that I’m going to “run out of content pretty fast,” presumably because Trump will be gone. Again, I’ve been writing literally hundreds and hundreds of philosophical articles since 2011 (and that was after my academic work). I have four paperback anthologies of those articles, each around 700 pages, three of which are on Amazon (the fourth will be coming out soon). Since I switched from writing on my blog to writing on Medium, I’ve been averaging an article every few days. Does that look to you like I’m short on inspiration, Trump or no Trump?

The rest of your trifling comment espouses centrist platitudes, the likes of which I expose in some of the articles linked below. But that’s five demonstrable errors from you in just a single short paragraph. Very impressive.

Thanks for stopping by and wasting my time. In the future, if you’re going to criticize something I write, can you at least make your objection interesting to put a smile on my face while I’m stomping on your nonsense?
