Kierkegaard is indeed a pretty deep Christian thinker.

Shorter articles certainly do have a better chance of being read. But my main concern is to do justice to the topic. I write out the arguments or explanations I'm drawn to make, and some are more complicated than others.

Most of my articles here are short, though. But they'll also have a hard time finding readers because they're philosophical and often subversive. Either way, I'm swimming upstream.

So we face the choice of whether to betray our inspiration and to write what sells for the sake of being popular, or to write to explore the philosophical issues in good faith. I choose the latter, making only minimal concessions to the interest in having readers, by making my writings public (which is easy enough to do these days on the net).
