I've always been an atheist. Looking into atheism is what got me into philosophy, as a teenager.

But I agree that there are general processes of belief formation. Indeed, I criticize secular society on those grounds. If you look at my two sections or "lists" of articles on religion and atheism, you'll see the symmetry. They're called "The Absurdity of God" and "The Absurdity of Godlessness." But that's not to say I think all cultures are equal.
