It’s certainly a worthy project, especially with the anti-intellectual climate on social media, big tech companies and algorithms hacking our minds, and politicians and public relations handlers excelling in sophistry.

But the area you’re working in here is critical thinking or applied epistemology. I taught a course on critical thinking in university, and there are special textbooks devoted to the subject.

Your model here is still closer to empiricism than, say, to rationalism, so it might be interesting if you engaged with alternative simplifications of epistemology, to see how the philosophical assumptions have different practical effects on decision-making. Rationalists, for instance, will emphasize innate ideas or pre-existing mental structures which help build knowledge, so it’s not just a mechanical accumulation of sense data or truth units.
