It would be ludicrous to suggest that Biden is up to any such radicalism. His cabinet choices are all perfectly centrist, not progressive (aside from the nods to identity politics). Biden wants to rebuild and protect the US systems after the damage Trump's done to them, not further undermine them.
It's possible that the only radicalism the US is capable of now is the right-wing, Trumpian variety. American society also produced Lincoln and FDR, but that was a long time ago. The last progressive president who stood up to the establishment was Kennedy and look what happened to him and his brother.
The question is whether American progressives can organize with anything like the zealotry of the American alt right. Or are the leftists distracted by their navel-gazing wokeness and identity politics and petty cancel culture?
