Is the atheist Bob in your analogy? I think Graham isn't quite fairly representing my views here, so I might be in Bob's position. But I'm not sure atheists generally would be like Bob. The theistic critic would know at least that "Bob" is an atheist.

Maybe Darwinism is just Graham Pemberton's hobbyhorse. We all have our preoccupations. But certainly, if Graham is committed to intelligent design, he'd be on the lookout for evolutionary explanations.
