Interesting point. Indeed, knowing the facts isn't the same as figuring out whether to care or what to do about them. Science would tell us how the facts work, but whether we should regard them as sacred, hideous, or irrelevant would still be up to us.

Still, if a person created the universe, and holds our destiny in his hands, that would seem to be pretty important.
