Indeed, Paleolithic psychology must have been different.
The geocentric model was as rational as the data would allow, but the data were obviously limited, because the ancients couldn't get beyond the solar system or see from a perspective that wasn't based on this planet.
Geocentrism may have been naturalistic but it was also anthropocentric, which was the primary bias. I understand that from a mystical perspective, anthropocentrism is on the right track, but it doesn't make for pure naturalism.
