Indeed. I'm writing something now on the Epistle to the Romans, including its condemnation of homosexuality. But the whole of Paul's "argument" or gospel is awash in parochial tribalism projected onto metaphysical and cosmological matters. The subtext is that the absurdity of such projections tests the "faith" or loyalty of the followers, which applies the evolutionary handicap principle.
