Indeed, if we focus on the US, that culture is divided between what we can think of as the feminized and hyper-masculine tribes. The highly educated, urban and suburban areas are feminized, as in domesticated and made decadent, infantile, and oblivious to the dangers presented by the neglected rural areas. The latter are "conservative," which means they're socially Darwinian and toxically masculine: they idolize psychopaths and seek to troll and to destroy "the establishment" out of resentment and a longing for some such apocalypse to provoke Jesus to return.
So when I said that Western culture is being feminized, I was overlooking the rural areas since I was thinking of late-industrial culture in comparison to less developed societies. The rural parts of Western (or Northern) culture are regressive and thus not so authentically "Western" or modern.
