I'm saying the brain can't suffice for qualia if my point about pygmy marmosets is correct. Maybe our big brains could somehow produce our complicated mental states. If science eventually explains the brain's role, science will have to explain how very different kinds of brain can both produce qualia. Maybe it's what both brains tap into when they perceive their environment that helps explain the oddness of qualia.
