I'm not sure that that summary is exactly right. What's the inconclusive evidence? Do you mean the mysteriousness of qualia? I'm trying to say that the hardness of this problem of explaining consciousness may be socially constructed, in which case it can be deconstructed, leaving us with theoretical options that might be hiding in plain sight.
