I'm not sure pure nihilism is the most enlightened way of seeing things. Even from an objective view from nowhere, I suspect the nihilist would be able to reconstruct aesthetic values. That's partly what would make nihilism repellent: nature would seem horrific once you realize morality is subjective and illusory. That horror would follow from the objective subversion of mass delusions. But horror is a negative value.
