I'm not sure if postmodernity licenses the concept of "perversion." There would only be relative betrayals of local conventions. Postmodern relativism entails perversions, though, in the sense of a host of incommensurable worldviews, each challenging the next because of its necessary alienness.

Can nihilism be perverted, or should we expect anything other than a wild, sophistical free-for-all, given the so-called impossibility of objectivity or neutral understanding of common facts?
