I'm not sure how that's supposed to differ from what I'm saying here. You seem pessimistic about our chances of benefitting from technoscientific progress. That would mean the humanistic imperialism is self-defeating, as we need to build powerful tools that will surpass us in power, knowledge, and freedom. I'm agnostic about whether human progress is sustainable.
