I'm not conflating them, though. The English word "law" conflates them. The phrase "law of nature" is metaphorical or deistic/theistic, and science isn't supposed to dabble in metaphors. If natural "laws" are entirely different from social laws--as they must be under atheism or methodological naturalism--they shouldn't be called "laws" at all. And that's my point. We need to rethink what a truly natural order would be, and we should start by grappling with the concept of wild creativity.
