I'm not committed to saying that all levels of society think in the same philosophical terms. The absurdity in life can be expressed in lots of ways, ranging from the academically philosophical to the humdrum terms that don't do the strangeness much justice but that still reflect an alienating encounter.

Taylor Swift and Warren Buffet must reckon with the absurdity of being celebrities and of being mere clever mammals that have great power over millions of other equally clever mammals. They can recognize different dimensions of that absurdity, put it in their own terms, channel the recognition with artistic language, or rationalize it with economic pseudoscience.

Philosophy is perhaps the most direct medium for expressing these concepts and experiences, and celebrities aren't likely to spend much time studying philosophy. But I don't think you need the explicit philosophical terms to realize there's something strange about being a celebrity or a billionaire.
