I'll check out that video, but I think my point still stands. Even if bitcoin enthusiasts are well-motivated to fix problems with the financial system, so that their diagnosis is correct, that doesn't mean bitcoin is the cure.
Bill Maher recently had a critic of bitcoin on his show, and his account was pretty damning.
