If we’re talking about the self-help variety of late-modern Stoicism, I think it might be fairer to say that that Stoicism is more like propaganda than a philosophy that helps us navigate anything. Anyway, it’s doubtful that anyone today is just an authentic Stoic. We pick and choose what we want to believe and to do.
