If there are no intrinsic, objective values, I don't think it's so "simple" to derive subjective ones that work. Work towards what end and for whom? Everyone equally or some people more than others? This takes us into sociology and politics, and to the different ways of organizing society. And it's philosophy, religion, and art that deal most directly with these subjective values, not science. That's my point here.
