If anything, what "calls us to God" from "our hearts" is our evolved intuition, and that's what science has undermined by showing us the alien, monstrous extent of the universe we're in. Those intuitions no longer apply; hence, exoteric theism that naively personifies the ultimate basis of reality is archaic and preposterous.
Also, scholars know now that Ecclesiastes couldn't have been written by King Solomon because of the Persian loan words and the Aramaic words, so the book isn't old enough. And the arguments in that book itself dispel naïve theism.
