I'd distinguish between hatred and disgust. I don't hate Trump or his followers because I don't know them personally. I'm talking about Trumpism, and it's that social movement or way of "thinking" which is disgusting. On aesthetic, ethical, and existential grounds, Trumpism disgusts me.

And Trumpism is about more than voting. Individuals will vote for their personal reasons, as you say. But social patterns and groupthink emerge from that level of behaviour. We act differently when we're in crowds, and standing in a crowd of Trumpers isn't a place where decent, reasonable folks would want to be.

Your insinuation that Biden and the Democrats are as bad Trump's GOP is going nowhere. That kind of kneejerk centrism is quite untenable in this case. As corrupt as Biden might have been, you don't think Trump was a hundred times worse? The Saudis gave Jared Kushner $2 billion, and Trump didn't divest his assets as president.
