I'd be interested in debating, but not just anyone and not on any subject. I've conducted debates with fellow Medium writers over email and posted them on Medium. But a publication that focusses on posting debates is a good idea. That publication may already exist, for all I know.

I'm not sure the judges would be needed. How would anyone know the judges are neutral rather than biased? Besides, readers could judge the results for themselves. Why not let the two sides speak for themselves? The comments would assess the debate, in any case.

Ideally, the two sides of the debate would be presented in the same post, so the reader wouldn't have to go far to see what the opponent is saying.
