I wouldn't dismiss everything he's ever said. He certainly is familiar with many sources, especially in the area of psychology, but also religion. Recently, he's sold out more to appeal to an alt-right audience.
I did understate the point about his jacket because it was a side issue. There's some question about whether Peterson is currently mentally balanced, so his clownish attire might speak to that. But that's none of my business, and it would be speculative at best.
And all Christian conservatives love to play the victim. That's how they can seem to themselves to be Christ-like even when they behave more like secular consumers.
