I wonder whether the concept of leadership will always be viable. Possibly the far future will be anarchistic, so politically it will resemble our prehistoric nomadic state. With enough high-tech, we might each be a society onto ourselves, as it were, in which case there would be a state of nature between citizens, as there is between nations (the UN lacking a real monopoly on the international use of force). That is, I'm just wondering whether the very concept of a leader implies the master-slave dynamic. "Leader" could be a euphemism for "master."
