I was using labels (i.e. words) to communicate ideas, but those ideas were not about our choice of labels. The idea is that the rhetoric of the political spectrum that includes conservativism and liberalism presents a false choice, because conservatism itself, not just the word "conservatism" is philosophically hollow and self-refuting.
