I was thinking of all of them, of the general class war in which the power elites view the masses as disposable. This is a theme also of the movie "Don't Look Up." What you said in your last paragraph reminded me of that theme:

"This vast majority of humans (the masses) will realise, like the Neanderthals before them, that they have reached their evolutionary end. And will become a liability. The question is how are they going to be phased out? Peacefully or with violence."
