I understand, but the distinction isn't irrelevant to other mentally ill people who have to live with the stigma in part because of how easy it is to demonize someone like Trump.

The assessment of his followers is a separate issue. As I argue elsewhere, I expect they're exploiting Trump's disorders to take vengeance against America's liberal traditions and establishment. The US has always been divided in that respect. These aggrieved Americans view Trump not as a person but as an instrument of God. They'd just describe Trump's personality type in non-pejorative terms. They'd say he's a winner, a great salesman, or an angel. But in effect, they'd be exploiting someone's mental illness, using him as a means rather than thinking of him as an end, that is, as a person with human rights.

And I'm not aware of anyone who's said more about how monstrous Trump is than I've done. I make it clear in my writings that Trump is an evil monster. It's just that there's the inconvenient truth that real monstrosity is due partly to personality or mental disorders (and to circumstances, training, and the environment). What else could cause such monstrosity, given the lack of spiritual factors?
