I think that's how Hirsi Ali begins her argument. She loves liberal values too and is afraid they're failing in competition with authoritarianism in China, Russia, and Islam. That worry is a good one, but her solution of just choosing to respect archaic Christianity doesn't seem workable or liable to succeed in a competition with those other ideologies.
