I think it's pretty wrongheaded, though, to try to derive the One and Only Christianity from the New Testament books which conflict with each other in lots of ways. You can use parts of the Bible to justify virtually any worldview or practice you like since you can supply the hermeneutic principles.

The faults of white Evangelical Christianity are endless. For starters, the whole thing is blatantly Americanized. But they cherry pick and harmonize biblical passages to justify everything from social Darwinian capitalism to white supremacy and the Trump cult.
